2025 CEO Magazine MBA Rankings: AIB achieves Tier One Global Status

We’re proud to announce that for the fourth consecutive year, the Australian Institute of Business (AIB) has achieved Tier One status in CEO Magazine’s Global Online MBA Rankings. In the 2025 edition, AIB’s online MBA was ranked 7th in Australia and 25th in the world, maintaining our position among the top global programs in an increasingly competitive space.

This year, the rankings experienced a significant jump in participation. A total of 309 MBA programs from 153 institutions were evaluated, a 10% increase from the previous year. Most notably, 10 new online MBA programs entered the rankings, making 2025 the most competitive year for online education. Unlike many institutions that have only recently adapted to online learning, AIB has been leading the way with high-quality, flexible online education for years being Australia’s largest online MBA provider since 2018*. Our consistent Tier One recognition reflects the strength and quality of the experience we deliver, and why AIB remains a top choice for ambitious professionals worldwide.

CEO Magazine’s rankings are determined through rigorous evaluation criteria that include faculty quality, international diversity, accreditation and professional development. These are areas AIB consistently performs strongly, thanks to the collective efforts of our staff, industry partners, students and alumni.

Reflecting on the achievement, Professor Darius Pfitzner Academic Dean at AIB, shared:

To be recognised for the fourth year running as a Tier One institution, while securing a Top 25 global and Top 10 national ranking, is a powerful validation of our mission. For 40 years, AIB has focused on transforming lives through accessible and practical business education. These results reaffirm our impact and inspire us to keep innovating for our students and alumni around the world.

He also extended a personal message to the AIB community:

This isn’t just a win for our team—it’s a triumph for every one of you! Your relentless dedication, bold ambition, and unwavering support have fuelled this achievement. Whether you’re igniting your MBA journey or shining bright in our 16,000-strong global alumni network, this milestone belongs to you.”
